About Wheaton/Allman/Marinoff/Gary
****UPDATE****

My Mother, Marsha (Wheaton) Griffin, started this Family tree on Dec 09 2009. She worked for years getting all the information that is on this site. As a tribute to her memory and hard work, her family has chosen to continue her research and passion for family geneology. The site will maintain all of her original work and notes including the original introduction. It is in her Memory and with love that we dedicate this effort.

Our Family Tree

My mother Whyvonia M (Allman) Wheaton, is the person responsible for my intrest in our genealogy. She was always trying to gather information and records of the ancestors and descendants of her and her husband's families. For years she made out lists and charts; eventually she typed up what she had found on a typewriter. She had put much effort into making a family tree. She always felt it was important to know. Using information she had gathered, I have continued with her search. I have enjoyed the time spent digging through pages and pages of information. Gathering this information about my ancestors has lead me on a wonderful journey. I went back in time and traveled through Switzerland, Germany, France, and England. I followed my Ancestors in their journey to America. I cringed when I read about the Indian Attacks and battles they had to endure. Many ancestor surnames were new to me, and those newly discovered relatives have been added along the way. I have found that many of my ancestors were brave, determined, daring, patriotic, and God loving people. It is amazing to me how all these ancestors came together, under God's great care and guidance, to create my parents, and, eventually, me!

I am sure that there are hundreds more in new generations of which I have no knowledge. With this online tree my goal is to continue to add both future and past generations. This is an on-going project. It will be added to as time goes by. Please send me any information you have that you would like to have added. New births, marriages, deaths, interesting facts or stories, and pictures.

I hope you will find this family tree interesting and enjoyable.
